Earl Grey Vanilla Cake
A delicious vanilla cake with Earl Grey adding a surprising lift: bright, aromatic, and just slightly earthy and scrumptious.
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp Teabloom's Earl Grey
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, add in flour, baking powder and Teabloom's Earl Grey tea. Mix and set aside.
In a mixer, add sugar , butter, and egg. Transfer the mixture to a baking pan and bake for 20-30 minutes or until the cake is golden brown.
Let the cake cool. Use a serated knife to level the cake and cut off the excess on top. To make a mini cake, use a cookie cutter, or a drinking glass to make 3 circles.
Use your choice of icing and put it in between the layers. Cover the whole cake or just use a little icing to keep the layers together.
Use coloured icing to decorate or put edible flowers or ribbons.
