Watermelon Green Tea Popsicles

Together, watermelon and green tea make the ultimate summertime wellness duo.
Course Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Teabloom Sencha Medley tea
  • 2 cups fresh watermelon
  • 1 tsp. honey (optional)

Instructions

  • Steep 1–2 teaspoons of loose leaf green tea in 1 cup hot water (about 175°F or 80°C) for 2–3 minutes. Strain and let cool completely. You want it chilled so it doesn’t start "cooking" the fruit when blended.
  • Cut 2 cups worth of fresh watermelon.
  • In a blender, add the watermelon, cooled green tea. Honey, lime juice, and mint are all optional. Blend until smooth.
  • Taste the mixture—if you want it sweeter, add a bit more honey. If you'd like a stronger tea flavor, you can double the tea amount (just be mindful of the caffeine if serving to kids).
  • Carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle molds. Insert sticks and freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or overnight.
  • Run warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds to release your popsicles. Enjoy the cool, hydrating burst of watermelon and the clean, earthy notes of Teabloom's Sencha Medley green tea!
