Da Hong Pao is also available in the Masters Tea Collection. This exceptional collection includes six rare teas that will delight any tea connoisseur.
We encourage you to enjoy the “king of teas” on its own without the use of milk or sugar. You can also drink this tea chilled. To experience a well-rounded iced tea flavor, we recommend steeping your tea leaves using the cold brew tea method.
This tea has a signature orchid and floral fragrance. The liquor has a velvety smooth texture and adds to the luxurious mouthfeel.
It’s grown in the famous Wuyi Mountains of Fujian, China. Each batch is carefully nurtured and harvested using sustainable and organic practices. This precise attention creates a pure, authentic taste that mirrors the character of the terroir.
The history of Big Red Robe tea is rooted in Chinese legend. A scholar fell ill and used this tea to help restore himself back to health. Later, this same scholar used this tea to help cure the emperor’s illness.
As a token of gratitude and high honor, the emperor gave the scholar a red robe and asked that it be draped over the tea bushes. Legend has it that the emperor commanded all officials passing through to drape their red robes over the bushes as a sign of gratitude for the emperor’s recovery and health.
This rich and bold tea is perfect for mornings or early afternoons and has a high level of caffeine. Gift this remarkable tea to a tea lover or add it to your tea collection today.
