Estate Darjeeling Reserve

Teabloom is delighted to offer this fine organic Estate Darjeeling Reserve from the Monteviot estate in the Golden Valley of Darjeeling – the most geographically protected and best-known tea-growing region in the world. The estate is one of the oldest tea plantations in India, renowned for the quality of its tea leaves. This is an exceptional quality, classic Darjeeling.

Although classified as black teas, Darjeeling teas are unique in that each batch actually contains leaves ranging from green, to oolong to black. This is because Darjeeling leaves are mixed infrequently during the process of oxidation. The more-oxidized portions of the tea leaves become darker while those exposed to less air remain greener. These color differences are apparent when you look closely at the loose leaves of our Estate Darjeeling Reserve tea, and ensure an authentic Darjeeling experience.
