Why Blooming Teas

Blooming Teas- It Just Makes CENTS!

What does Tazo tea and Teavana have in common?

They both are owned by Starbucks.©

And while you may think coffee and tea are competitors, they're not.

Because Starbucks© knows Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world!

And no- Coffee is not ranked first.

Water has that honor.

But if sales keep sky-rocketing, tea may one day take over.  It's hard to believe Starbucks acquired Tazo Tea back in 1999 and didn't get Teavana until 2012, but they've been quickly transforming it since.

With Starbucks expecting to have more than 37,000 stores by 2021 around the world, they're set up with the perfect opportunity to bring tea back into the mainstream population. Something that though it's been trending upward, it's popularity over coffee in the states still hasn't been able to compete.

So they're trying a new tactic: Starbucks  announced at their Investor Conference  in 2016 they would be marketing new products of Teavana ®Craft iced teas to appear on grocery aisles in the Spring of 2017. What a concept! To be able to buy good tea in the grocery market and not just from their Starbuck locations. Of course they also still offer the Do-it yourself teas in the Teavana stores, online and sell the Tazo tea in teabags in the grocery stores.

But even those choices are really expensive for the average consumer.

Two ounces of  Imperial Green Tea costs $19.98 while the Uji Gyokuro Green Tea costs $25 dollars. What many people don't realize is this just gets you two ounces.

2 ozs. of tea only makes at most 20 cups.

While this is still a deal compared to one cup of tea from Starbucks; the corporate price tag of a Venti Teavana® Oprah Cinnamon Chai Tea Latte is a whopping  $4.65. Yes, even Oprah got in on the action. At almost 5 bucks a cup, who can blame her?

So some revert to the bagged tea? And while Tazo has great packaging, it still contains chopped-up tea leaves in a little tea bag requiring you to do the work.

Does this scream calm? Does this signal peace, prosperity and happiness- trademarks of their ad campaigns?

Has tea and its tea bags gotten a bad rap because colonists dumped hundreds of tea chests into the Boston Harbor to spite the Brits? Some historians say yes, but critics call it a myth, saying  people did not actually throw out their teapots to start drinking coffee as a way to boycott.

The real fact is, the tea here in America, with its crumpled and pulverized tea in teabags just didn't deliver the freshly brewed tea they had gotten used to overseas. Whether it was quality green, black or green tea- it just wasn't the same.

But thankfully, a new trend has emerged, and Teabloom is the leader.

This new health food craze promises potent body benefits, an economical price, and delicious taste in a variety of flavors. And the best part is each one of Teabloom's tea balls are sealed for freshness, but when opened delivers a spectacular show no other beverage can deliver.
