About Tie Guan Yin
Teabloom’s Organic Tie Guan Yin Oolong is a delicate tea grown on the famous Wuyi Mountains (Northern Fujian), where the tea dries under the sun immediately after the harvest. As a result, only 50% of the leaf is fermented and the inner part of the leaf remains green. These carefully rolled leaves produce a bright golden cup with a sweet orchid aroma. A buttery mouthfeel balances a lovely sweetness, which lingers in the finish.
Like other true teas, oolong varieties are made with the mature leaves of the camellia Sinensis plant, with an oxidation level that falls somewhere between green and black teas.
