ABOUT OUR MOSO BAMBOO

Bamboo is 16% harder than maple, 33% lighter than oak, and can be as strong as steel. It can be a sustainable, cost-effective, durable, and eco-friendly alternative to harvesting traditional hardwood forests. Bamboo is not a tree, but a grass, which can grow 60 feet tall and as much as two feet per day!

Teabloom uses Moso bamboo for its teaware. It can be re-harvested every five years compared to the 30 to 60-year growth of most hardwoods. Our bamboo teapot is panda-friendly and not disruptive to their habitat or food source.

This is an organically-grown bamboo that absorbs little moisture resulting in less swelling and shrinkage in the finished product. This superior material is ideal for household items like coasters and teaware.
